Boo!
FURLOUGH!

Since I wrote in February my parents, Amy and I have made it to the opposite side of the globe for our furlough! We arrived March 9th and spent most of March bouncing around Dallas, North Texas and even Oklahoma! We have been reporting to supporters and meeting new people, including a couple who worked in the Philippines when my grandparents lived there, Don and Letha Huddleston! Fundraising is time-consuming and quite exhausting but we have been enjoying meeting everyone and bouncing around in our “tank”, the title we have affectionately given the church van lent to us by the Jersey Village Church of Christ. We are truly grateful for the use of it.

At the beginning of April we made our way to Tarpley, Texas, where my Dad grew up, to stay with his parents. It seems like we have been working on jobs like cutting down trees, mowing the lawn and rebuilding the barbeque pit since we arrived :) We have enjoyed helping our grandparents out. Last weekend we met up with a fellow missionary kid who we grew up with, Vanessa Whitt, to make a trip up to Abilene, Texas to visit her sister Veronica who is schooling there. We had a blast on our over 8-hour trip both ways giggling and reminiscing about “the old days” :). It’s fun to get to hang out with friends who I grew up with and look at how amazing our lives turned out. God is truly wonderful :) We have a barbeque on the newly rebuilt pit tomorrow and EVERYONE is coming! I'm quite excited about that :).

The work is going well even though they might be a little short-handed. Jon & Gina, Rachael & Clint, Ronnie and RJ have been working hard since we left! They held our annual VBS (this year was on Daniel), two seminars and are beginning their second session of classes without us. We miss being a part of the work (as well as being with our family!), although we know that it's only temporary, but we are grateful that our teammates are doing so well. Please continue to keep the work in your prayers.

We have one more week here in Tarpley with Dad’s folks and we head to College Station, Texas to visit with Mom’s parents. We are scheduled to leave the US on June 7th, so if you would like to visit there’s still plenty of time and we would love to see you! Let me know and please keep us in your prayers as we are still fundraising. Also, if you know anyone who may like to help us or anyone in the work I would love to hear from you. I would love to hear from you regardless!

Thanks for your continued interest and support in the work! We have been so blessed during the first half of our furlough, God is really taking care of us. God bless you!

In him,
Sara Murrell
