Happy New Year!

It's already 2007! I feel like just yesterday I was 5 and bounding around with no purpose in life but to torment my siblings. Well, maybe I didn't do that so much... Anyway, this is my first report! I've never really written a report, but I think I can do it. Heehee. Well, allow me to tell you what has been going on.

The new year started with a BOOM! and POP! and WHEEEE! sound. The fireworks were REALLY LOUD. People over here really get excited about the opportunity to make noise. After about 12:15 AMthere was soooooo much smoke we had to close all the windows in the house in order to breathe without suffocating. We are all still alive and breathing, thankfully.

We have been renovating our house recently, taking advantage of the free time. Technically, weare on Christmas Break, but would you consider renovating a "break"? Well, I'm just gladI'm not doing school right now. I've really wanted a break. School should start on the 8th, though (boohoo), so it won't last for long = ).

This next week is also enrollment week, which coincides with the Annual ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) Summit which will be held in Cebu City this year. The government has been so busy lately preparing the city for the summit, and because of that, the city looks the best I've ever seen it.

Because next week is enrollment week, we will be really busy at the BSC distributing flyersto advertise our classes and preparing for our next session. This session I will be teaching the course "How We Got the Bible"on Thursdays. Last session I taught 3 classes and decided that, in order to keep my sanity, I must limit. However, I will be team-teaching the course "Jesus:Man of the Bible" on Friday with my sister Rachael and another one of the teachers at the BSC, Cheryl Dela Torre. I will also be taking the course "Major Religions 1" on Wednesdays which is taught by my brother Jon and the course "Teaching Training II, Jesus: Lord of Our Lives", which is taught by my father Barry. So, instead of teaching many classes, I'm TAKING them!!!! I think I have the whole idea about "limiting" quite confused = ).

School is going pretty well. I am about half-way through the year, and still keeping my head above the water. I do have a bone to pick though. I've noticed as time goes by thatthe people who make the Science curriculum have sneaked in Mathematics. How can you call itSCIENCE when you're really doing MATH? Maybe someday it will make sense = ).

Well, that's pretty much all that has happened since New Year's. I just ask for your prayersas we begin preparations for the new session that we will have many people who are interested. I also ask for your prayers for my sister Amy. It appears she has some sinus infection, and she is really in pain because of it.

I hope this finds you in good health, and wish you many blessings for this new year God hasgiven to us! God Bless!
