Boo!
Furlough, furlough, furlough!

Howdy!

Amy and I have been stateside for three weeks already. Can you believe it? Our trip over the Pacific Ocean was LONG and rather cold, but when we arrived in Texas and started to sweat! We have adjusted pretty well and have already traveled quite a bit. After we arrived on June 18th we spent a few days trying to recuperate from the jet lag. We started waking up each morning at around 7am and going to bed at around 8 or 9pm. If you know Amy and I you know that this is not normal! We seem to have adjusted now, though. We stayed the first week with Mom's parents in College Station and the next week we went to the Hill Country to be with Dad's folks. We are back in College Station for a little bit longer before we start our big trip. We've gotten to visit with family and have had a great time so far!

Our main purpose for our trip is of course fundraising. Our sponsor and long time partner in our work in Cebu, the Jersey Village Church of Christ in Houston, will not continue sponsoring us after the end of this tour. They have helped us for several years and are now and we are so appreciative for all that they have done. In addition to looking for a new sponsor we are also looking to raise a lot of support. Amy and I each need $1,100 in monthly support. This monthly amount goes to our personal needs and the support of the Bible Study Center. In addition to this we are looking for $4,500 in one-time support, which is money we collect in bulk for things like our air fare, immigration payments, and insurance. We have a lot to do and two months left to accomplish it all. Your prayers would be appreciated.

We also have a lot of traveling to do. We are going all over Texas, visiting supporters in Oklahoma and Colorado, and even stopping in Kansas to visit family hopefully! We are very excited and have a lot to do. Please keep our safety in your prayers as well as our efforts. In addition, if you know of anyone who might be interested in sponsoring or supporting Amy and I, please let us know and we can contact them so that we can visit with them.

We hope that we will see everyone soon. Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers!

In him,
Sara Murrell
