That's what they say, right? "Getting back into mission work is like riding a bicycle?" Alright, I'm not so sure I've actually heard that one :).
Howdy! I hope and pray this note finds you well and that things are good for all in the Western Hemisphere :) Things are going great for us in the tropics! It’s hot, or rainy, or both! :) Thankfully we have acclimated back to the weather over here.
Life is pretty busy for us. I am up at the BSC past 8PM every night due to my either teaching or taking classes. I have been blessed with the opportunity to help Dad work with our Intermediate Greek students in their studies, and I have also been given the opportunity to help train some new teachers in our teacher training program! With all that’s going on I’m just trying to keep my head above water!
I had class this evening with Medina Alda, the mother of some students of ours from a previous session. Our class schedule is Monday and Wednesday from 7-8 PM. We are studying Jesus: Man of the Bible, which is one of our main evangelistic courses. Tonight we went over lesson 5 of 12, where we discussed the origin of Jesus: how he existed even before the world began. The first four lessons of Jesus: Man of the Bible introduce our students to the Bible, where it came from, and how to study it. After we are through with our focus on the Bible, we move on to study about the person of Jesus Christ and who he is. If you would like to know more about this course or even take it, we have an online school set up (thanks to my super-talented brother-in-law) where you can take our course. The link is at the end of this report. I am really excited about my future classes with Medina! Please keep this class, along with all of our other ongoing classes, in your prayers.
Unfortunately I have students who did not show up for class this evening, Nicholas Polinar, and Marissa and Elizabeth Villanueva. Please keep them in your prayers, that I will be able to get in touch with them to invite them back.
We have been having our weekly Saturday Children’s Bible Classes and I’ve been teaching kids from the age of 7 through 11 years old. We have been talking about faith and different stories that we find which teach us about faith, such as what Jesus teaches about worrying in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:25-34 & Luke 12:22-34) and the Parable of the Mustard Seed (Matt 13:31; Mark 4:31; Luke 13:19). The kids seem to be enjoying, and I sure am! We have had a large group, over 20 kids altogether the past two Saturdays! Please keep this in your prayers as well.
This last Sunday was the third since we have returned to the Philippines. How time has flown! Thank you for your continued interest! Please keep us in your prayers! God bless you!
In him,
