Boo!
Break time

Hello to one and all! I hope all is well for you all. The Christmas holiday is fast approaching! It doesn’t seem like another year has passed. This year has flown by! It’s hard to believe all that has happened. The Lord has truly been with me!

As I mentioned in my last report, we were coming to the end of the last session of classes for 2007. We had our graduation on November 17, with a good turnout. I had 5 graduates, 3 took two of my classes. We had a great time playing games and visiting with our students. Our next session will start in the first or second week of January 2008. Our Greek students will continue to their next session and our previous students will move on to deeper topics. Please be praying for our students continued efforts and interest.

The week after classes finished we began construction in the office. We have been working from November 19 to today (being our last day) on the renovation of one of our back rooms in the center. When we began renting our current facilities in the southern part of Cebu City we had to renovate the floor and construct our classrooms and office. After this, we began classes, but had a large portion of the area still unfinished which we were using for storage. We decided to put that area to good use (it is a very large area) and renovate it to create a large classroom for seminars or graduations. Before we started it was a MESS! We had to clean before we started working. We built, painted, sanded, floored, cemented and more! We are sore, but finished the room. It looks 1,000% better than it did! That room has a great potential to help us attract students through seminars. In addition to the room looking great we are all very sore. My back has hurt for days!

For the holidays we plan to do a little construction at our house. I’m not sure what projects my parents have planned, but they will be… projects :). I am looking forward to a little break. We will be heading to our plantation in the mountains of Negros on the 26th and visit the beach house of Becky and Richard Emperado for New Year’s. I have missed the beach. You’d think that, living on an island, I would get to go to the ocean, but I don’t really. Besides, no one would want to go to the beach by the city. Icky…

Thank you for your continued support and interest! I hope to get put some pictures of the construction of the back room up, which I will hopefully find time to do during this “break”. Please have patience with me :).

I hope you all have a great holiday and spend time with your loved ones! Merry Christmas and God bless you!

In him...

Sara Murrell
